I am also not sure how long i am going to stay as a mass resident. after doing my taxes for 2010, it seems like they dont let you deduct much of anything against dividend income or capital gains. unless my son goes to college in the state I may go some place that doesnt tax capital gains especially if ever have some again.
as far as cx goes, i suppose the debt didnt seem like much when the share prices was in the teens but now that its under 3... its been a big holding for longleaf funds and they continue to mention it in their latest letter.
these guys have been value investors for quite awhile and have owned cx at much higher levels. I will take a chance for a few bucks that they are right.
