that's the beauty of the PSAR. there are superior systems, signals and even fundamental analysis to get you into a positon...if the position starts to move strongly in your favor and starts to be a runaway train of advancing profits it provides a rising stop loss that enables one to take profits if the rising stop loss channel is hit
Depending on your sophistication and whether one wants to engage in Stanley Kroll type long term positioning styles, you could implement the PSAR on 1/3 of a paroblic rising market; or 1/2 of the position, or even taking 2/3 of the position off of the table.
