The friends, clubs, and associations that I keep are well to my liking. We have no needs for "bingo" or "cheap drinks". We have loftier goals, tastes, and aspirations and we take concrete actions to meet them.

We owe the modest successes of our lives to a lifetime of conservatism, responsibility, trustworthiness, and associations built with like-minded friends. None of us have ever whined and cried for a government handout or social program much less felt sorry for ourselves if we had a bad day. When it rained on us, we took matters into our hands and did something about it. We damned sure didn't rely on the government to fix it. The government has become a chronic nuisance and dangerous impediment to freedom and liberty. It is certainly not a solution to life, as many believe (and suffer for) from the cradle to the grave.

It must be terrible for those who depend on the government and someone else for everything... constantly. Very terrible indeed. -ng-
