This works to remove the skunk odor:

Skunk Deodorizing Solution*

One (1) quart of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (this is the “10 volume“ peroxide sold in grocery and drug stores - do not use the 30 volume concentrated peroxide used for bleaching hair)

1/4 cup baking soda

1 teaspoon liquid soap

Mix the ingredients and wash the dog or cat (keep the solution away from eyes, mouth etc.).

Thoroughly rinse the animal with tap water.
