Which is a shame, because the (D)'s suck, and really NEED a viable opposition party. They have some good ideas, smaller government, controlled spending - but they take them to dangerous, obsessional levels. They put the military OFF the table, the ONE place that should be massively cut. They REFUSE any tax increases, even though both cuts AND tax increases will be needed to achieve fiscal sanity. The (D) have signaled over and over a willingness to deal, to accept really painful cuts for just modest tax increases. A SANE opposition party would jump on it!
