Have you ever lived in CA? Did you experience ten years of service cutbacks?

No. Neither have the people in CA. CA's budget has never been lower (at least not in modern times, and probably at all since its been a state) at the end of any 10 year period then it has been at the beginning.

In real terms CA spending has held pretty steady over the past decade (nominal increases of course, but inflation eats away at those), but that was after a long period of strong increases.

We are one nation. Everyone has to pay their fair share.........and some people's fair share is greater than others.

1 - Irrelevant. If someone's fair share is "more than someone else", it still doesn't support your argument than someone paying less (even if it is less than their "fair share") is a give away to that person. The reality is simple, they are giving, not receiving. If It take $100 from you today, and take $50 tomorrow, I'm not giving you $50 tomorrow, I'm still taking from you.

2 - The rich already pay vastly more taxes than the non-rich. If their fair share is more they are already paying more, much more, noticeably more even as a percentage of their larger income.
