<<Yup. Too many people want a 'strong' president who comes out fighting liking a boxer..........and that includes some liberals. However, most cowboy presidents tend to get us into trouble.>>

Come on, we liberals only want a strong president who comes out like a boxer when events require it. Like WWII and the great depression. And we sure has hell are nothing like the Tea party. If you want to label us, we are the OWS crowd. Pretty much the opposite of the Tea party.

Look at the Republican nominees. That is your Republican party. Not one of them has the sense of my cat. I have tried many times to negoitate with my cat and it has never worked. And if you cannot negotiate then you have to be a reconstructionist president. Boy do we need that now. Orwell is knocking on our door.

We liberals want intelligent thoughtful strong presidents. I would argue all of the best presidents we have ever had were basically liberals: Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, JFK.

Sometimes events require tactics and sometimes strength, but with wisdom a president, which is what liberals always want, can do whatever it takes to be a good president. Wisdom and strength are what Jefferson, Lincoln FDR and JFK all had in common.
