So what you're saying is that Apple's competition should be allowed to freely violate Apple's patents, and to copy their inventions with impunity, because allowing them to do so gives consumers more choices.

That's not a compelling argument legally or in any other way.

I removed his word 'bogus' as it was simply his opinion. The rest of his statement was actually factual.
