Read about that ... from the newspaper coverage that pic got pretty much the whole bunch of 'em. About 70 members of Transport Workers Union Local 260 converged on METRO headquarters this morning at 1900 Main, joined by about 30 Occupy Houston protesters. .... Some of the protesters, like Artis Sevbo, don’t have jobs. Sevbo said he quit his last job to join the protest full-time. “I’ve been in sales for probably the last four or five years,” he said. “I worked for a lot of companies. The last company was an engineering company.” But the demonstrations have attracted a wide range of people from varying political viewpoints. “You have communists, you have anarchists, you have socialists, you have women’s lib people, you have single parent moms, you have college students,” said Jamin Stocker, who’s joined the group camping out in front of Houston City Hall. .... They can sleep overnight in the park next to city hall. Many decades ago, a rancher got tired of coming to town to bail out his hands on Monday morning so he bought a block and deeded it to the city as a park provided that anyone who wanted could sleep there overnight ... that way his ranch hands could come to town and sleep off the nights drunk in the park without being picked up.
