"Lot higher gross margins and profit per unit for Apple"

Absolutely, no one can dispute that. But like I said, that's the exception, not the rule. This was an industry built on much smaller asp, smaller gross margins, and that's what the incumbents are used to. What Apple's done is come in out of nowhere and shifted a lot of profit from the carriers to them, and in doing so, it exaggerates the damage done to the other handset players in terms of profit share. But the fact is, HTC and Samsung generating $1 billion in quarterly profit is record setting for them. They are doing great compared to historical results. Apple makes them look bad with nearly $4B in profits, and that will stay true for as long as they can extract special concessions from the carriers.

So you don't have a problem with 30% margins and billions of profits, you just want more.... but for whom??? Should a consumer like you be buying cars at 100% profit markup??? Your TV??? Your washer and dryer?? Your home??? etc...

Of course not... anyone who would want that would be a complete moron (not to mention penniless)....
to want that....

So why would a normal person that views 10% to 30% profit margins and billions of profits, fair profits mind you, in so many other industries, want more and more and more profit margins and billions to be sucked out of consumers????

One word.... GREED.... Apple investor GREED....

And mark my words... eventually that GREED will burn you up.....
