not a bad swap here. I don't own any CAT and have considered it as a good stock to build a diversified income portfolio. 2.3% dividend here is not bad... especially compared to SPY.



I MAY I take profits in IBM Monday.... sell 10%... Nibble at CAT and wait for the pullback I expect to perhaps get a nicer price on some more when the dividend gets juicier and ECRI's global growth indicators turn up.



Thanks for the suggestion. Always interested in building a better core portfolio as I diversify out of high growth tech stocks in my explore portfolio.

Da Chief, I'l have you know the only guy I ever had to ban from my thread spent 3 solid months spewing
not just viriole but also some posts with an islamic bent, I had people for week s and weeks telllig me to ban him and then finally I did right aobut the time he was permantently banned from SI.....

you have a much shorter fuse. I could go back and show you a could of months of diatriabes he had off loadeds on my thread., Sorry to hit you so hard this morning but posters like chip McVicker and Bob Furman both of whomI have spent 10 years of phone time and with Furman I've been over in his house in the woodlands 10 years ago going through how the bond market works, andhave spend much time wiht them since ....both post on your thread and likw the good sheppard I try to look out for my flock.
