David,

RE: I think the market is telling us how much VSGN is worth.

I think the market is telling how little it understands regarding the
technology trends (especially in regards to the hot enterprise market),
and what a tools company needs in order to be the technology leader.

I was disappointed to know how little streets understand about tech trend, too. But again we were the ones who bought BORL @ $6+/- when
they sold them off. So I'm waiting for buying opportunity again. I'm
sorry that timing was terrible for our option playing friends. But
this is one of those things we have to go through to become a larger
player in the market. I bet Yocam did good research because he got
tons of options, too.

Good luck to all!

BPP

Java Software

Anybody looking for portable, thin-client solutions for Windows 95 or NT ought to consider this company. The background of their management team is truly impressive and their products have received excellent reviews. They have a Java office suite which works in conjunction with several other enterprise tools and when you look at where some of these people come from and the critical positions they held at those companies, it's clear they know which way is up. Moreover, the are able to distinguish shinola from that other stuff at a single glance. They are looking forward and made a commitment to Java early on. That has cost them in the short run, but they are now moving foward again as the Windows products move into beta. If this isn't the ground floor then what is? If people think Java is being hyped now, just wait, we haven't heard anything yet and Java software companies are going to be the next Y2K-like story.

I think Mr. Cervo knows a little more than Corel's Dr. Cowpie about office products:

Mr. Cervo joined Applix in 1992 as Vice President, Research and Development and was promoted to Vice President, Product Development in 1994. Prior to joining Applix, Mr. Cervo was with Xyquest, Inc., since 1988 a developer of word processing software, as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Cervo was Vice President of Engineering of Interleaf, Inc., from 1984 to 1988 a developer of desktop publishing applications. Mr. Cervo was also employed for ten years at Atex, Inc., in a variety of management and senior software development positions. Mr. Cervo has a B.S. (A.E.) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
