OWS is directing its protest to the wrong crowd. They should go to Washington and demand that politicians stop their allegiance to their party and uphold their pledge to the constitution.

Disappointed with Obama? Understandable, because he cannot put humpty dumpty back together again in a short time. The damage done by Bush/Cheney is so humongous that it might take a generation to repair. In the mean time, if Obama did not bail out GM, Chrysler, the banks, unemployment would be much higher, and the financial disaster will be huge. International trade would be disrupted. Granted, that the banks are run by manipulators who borrow from the Fed at zero interest and lend it back to the government at higher interest. S&P downgrade be damned since the US will never default its obligation.

Extreme right wingers are looking at the problems that Obama has not fixed: closing Guantanamo Bay, Getting out of Iraq, ends the war in Afghanistan, lower unemployment rate, etc. All of these problems are created by Bush and Cheney, and Obama has to fix that. Fox news and its followers says that's Obama's problems now, just as if he created all that mess and that Bush/Cheney are blameless.

Cheney is an evil person. He still spew hatred to Obama while he was the one who said: "deficit does not matter" by claiming that Reagan said that. Does he dare to travel to Europe and Holland? Won't he be prosecuted for war crimes by the International Court in the Hague?

OTOH, GW Bush is actually a decent person. He is just still immature even at his age. Remember that "MIssion Accomplished" banner and that he would wear a pilot suit and copilot a fighter plane? Did you see his grin, no different from the joy a kid had after riding space mountain in Disneyland? Remember he back massage Angela Merkel during summit conference? Yes, GW Bush was just a puppet of neocons. He was not sure of himself running the country, he even asked Cheney to hold his hand when he was called to answer questions from Congress. His dad is even better as a person. Father and son know the damage that the cowboy Bush has done to the country. That's why they never utter a word to criticize Obama. They stay away from the choir attacking the President. I am sure the elder Bush who fought in WWII must be shaking his head reading what the current Republican candidates have been saying. I used to live in Houston for a few years, and never liked the elder Bush, however, when he sacrificed his chance for a second term by raising taxes for the good of the country, and that he keeps his silence the past 2 1/2 years, and that he warned his son not to mess with the M/E - ignored by the immature son who said that he answer to a higher father in heaven -, my respect grows and as a Republican I can group him with Bob Dole and the like as the true GOP.

In conclusion: Obama is not the perfect POTUS, especially when he tries to please politicians across the isle, but considering the candidates of the other party, I'll Obama in 2012, especially if Biden is greaceful enough to switch place with Hillary.

I am on a quick weeklong business trip to India. On the flight, sitting next to me was a young employee oaf Bain Capital. Hard to believe, isn't it? We got talking about Romney's claim that he created jobs. Her opinion was that he didn't create any jobs. Instead he just shifted jobs. It was a zero sum game. And it took almost 6 years. Before the company saw any benefit. There was a lot of experimentation. Sometimes newly hired people were laid off within a year because their group folded. So there was a lot of turmoil. Similar to what we are seeing today on national scale.

So we have Romney who claims success on a pilot scale. But we know that a scale up to the national level is complex and is no indication it will succeed.
