Looks like the dictators are falling in the Muslim world and we're lurching toward despotism out here in the West. What a crazy world we live in. Was that an extreme statement? Maybe. However, when I see criminals and politicians openly flouting our Constitution and Laws on the books, with the Supreme Court in collusion, then I take that seriously. The statement wasn't extreme. It's the actions of corporations, banks, and politicians that are extreme. They are deviating dramatically from the spirit and intent of the Constitution and all precedent in this country. Hell, we even have some Democratic Governors, namely Bev Purdue in NC, calling for a suspension of elections, so that the politicians can do what they think is right for the country. Say what? Since when do politicians have the right to ignore the will of the people, ostensibly because the politicians claim to know better what is right for this country? That's despotic thinking emerging right before your eyes folks. And what about America's Gestapo? We have the foundational laws for an American Gestapo already on the books. They're called the FISA laws. They allow the government to spy on you and monitor all your calls and electronic communications without a warrant. They can even open up an investigation on you and ask all your neighbors and co-workers about your behavior...without a warrant. In the 4th Amendment to our Constitution, this is called "unreasonable search and seizure" and was expressly prohibited without a warrant obtained from a judge based on probable cause. And yet, to our government and Congress, evidently our Constitution isn't worth the paper it was written on. Again, I say, everyone needs to wake up to what is happening. Change is incremental, but rapid. When a country goes off the rails, often it happens slowly enough that the populace doesn't summon the will to act until it is too late. Then one day they wake up and all around them the country is insane and everyone wonders how it all got to this end so fast. Don't believe that's how life and time works? Look at what happened to Germany during Hitler's time. Hitler's full monstrosity was only realized after 10-15 years of incrementalism...and then seemingly to a population that had been lulled by propaganda and who's increasing fear lead to inaction, all of a sudden the full extent of Hitler's horror was manifest. Incrementalism and a deviation from our Constitution and Laws on the books. These are things we should fear greatly and take great steps to prevent.
