Hi Scott: Thanks for the good news. Unfortunately, I do have news about a disgruntled customer. (Hope there aren't many.) My ISP has switched from Ascend to Livingston! Here is an excerpt from their e-mail: > >This email is to let you know that we are changing the type of K56Flex communications server we use from the Acsend Max 4004 to the Livingston PortMaster 3. > > > >After careful analysis and testing, we feel the Livingston PortMaster 3 is a superior product with better performance and reliability. When I enquired why they were changing, this is the response I got: The PM3 costs less, it performs better, Livingston tech support is better, the PM3 is more reliable. We have a very good history with Livingston comm servers. Does anyone with knowledge of these products have further comments? (By the way Scott, just curious--do you work in the networking industry and have you a technical background? Couldn't tell from your profile. Thnx.) shoe
