IE 8, humm, I don't know whats happening.

IE = Internet Explorer

XP is your Microsoft Windows operating system.

My IE 9 is on my Windows 7 machines. I only have IE 6 on my desktop, that runs Windows XP. Not seeing anything out of the ordinary in Firefox 7, on 3 machines, IE 9 on 2 machines, Google Chrome on 3 machines and SeaMonkey on 1 machine.

Some sort of bug with IE 8 and lower.

Will run that past Brad.

XP as in Windows XP stands for the eXPerience you will have when you use it. At the time Bill Gates described it, it was assumed he meant a much improved experience compared to what you had on any prior Windows operating system. Prior versions had numbers, sometimes in the format of YY (Windows 95, Windows 98), or letters as in Windows ME. After Vista, Microsoft went back to numbers for Windows 7.
