I couldn't agree more!

The ideal VP candidate in 2012 if you are worried about getting elected is Marco Rubio. You must win Florida and he would appeal to Hispanic voters.

I wonder why Rove did not use Cain as an example with the black vote---Cain would
be the first black President or first black Vice President.

Obama only half way can make that claim. Cain would certainly take a large percentage of Obama's previous voter support--------what a big contrast between Cain and Obama.

There are some links on Lindy Bill's Politics For Pros site that provide info
on Rubio.

I can see the reasoning for winning the electoral vote in Florida-----I don't know
how much impact he would have on the rest of the nation.

LIke Rubio, our Governor McDonnell of Virginia has been mentioned as a possible
VP candidate. He is an impressive young governor as is Rubio.

Obama has stated that he will treat Virginia and North Carolina as one unit in his
campaigning, targeting the Universities. This is pretty much the same that he did
before--------working to bring in the youth vote in the universities.

What Obama doesn't recognize is that McDonnell takes care of of the universities and
students in Virginia. Obama barely carried Virginia last time.

IMO the reason he carried Virginia was because of Tim Kaine, the then recent
Governor supporting him. They both went to Harvard.

Obama gave him the DNC Chairman's position and not the VP job that was being speculated on for Kaine. Kaine's lack of stewardship of the DNC Chairmanship showed up in the 2010 elections nationwide as Obama lost the House of Representatives.

Excuse my digressing----------. Perhaps Obama picked Biden because Biden was non--threatening.
Biden was not controversial as the Democrats themselves had made Hillary to be.
