With that fat minimum wage you are always bragging about, I figured that even street urchins could handle the extra tax load in the state of Washington.

Taxes are a pain in the butt, especially when they get closer to home, huh Kenny?

ken..."Paul, In the State of WA, we already have a 9% sales tax so under Cain's plan, we would pay an 18% sales tax. Imagine a low income person with a big family having to pay 18% in sales tax."....

Has it ever occured to you that just maybe if washington state already has a 9% sales tax that it would be exempt from doubling that tax?

And why does washington state have a 9% sales tax where other states may not have this tax?

Is this tax to help pay for what I call career welfare commies...or obama commies?

but you have no state income tax ;^) Some of you folks just don't want to pay your fair share.

Paul, In the State of WA, we already have a 9% sales tax so under Cain's plan, we would pay an 18% sales tax. Imagine a low income person with a big family having to pay 18% in sales tax.

ken....Department of Revenue
Washington State
dor.wa.gov

Washington State taxpayers may deduct sales tax in 2010 and 2011
Washington State residents may deduct state and local general-sales tax on their federal income returns for tax years 2010 and 2011. The sales tax deduction, eliminated in 1986, was restored in 2004, and was extended again in a tax measure signed by President Obama on December 17, 2010.

The deduction is available to taxpayers that itemize deductions, not those who take the standard deduction. The deduction is based on adjusted gross income and number of exemptions claimed. Taxpayers who keep all their receipts can deduct actual sales tax and use tax paid. The IRS has Optional State Sales Tax Tables for taxpayers to know how much sales tax they can deduct without having to keep receipts.

So ken your statement could be BS..course you being a .lawyer...you may not be aware of laws
Buy your logic does this mean that Mr. Cain's plan would give low income a 18% deduction??

Imagine a low income person with a big family having to pay 18% in sales tax.

Why in the world would a low income person want a big family if it's not affordable?

Do I have to support them too with food and housing and utilities, as well as you, and Commie Paul V?

I might have to sell my kids and have a smaller family to help pay for this free stuff.

If you think Cain's 9% sales tax is regressive then so is the state of Washington's 9% sales tax. In many other states the poor pay no state income tax and a much lower sales tax. The compassionate democrats who run your state are taxing the poor at a higher rate than evil governor Perry in Texas. It is 6,25% in Texas.
