Actually I still have my slide rule from freshman algebra

I keep it as a relic, having outgrown it many years ago. Unfortunately in your case you apparently still use it for something. And we all know what that is!

I noticed that you did not mention any price for the alleged Intel based Compaq product.

Given Intel's business model I would expect $2000 plus.

Meanwhile Cyrix MediaGX motherboards from one US based company are expected to be produced at the level of 2.5 million per month in 1998.

You don't think Cyrix can produce the guts of sub $500 computer systems? Well All I have to say is remember what Phillipe Kahn did to the software industry when he introduced a $99 BASIC compiler?

Watch the Won.
And look for those inflection points. You will find them on your slide rule next to your Intel investment profits for the coming quarter. Don't break it now.
