Rob, I would not take it to mean that they have received
very few orders, only that the dollar amount of the total
orders on hand at this point in time is only slightly larger
then the dollar amount of the total orders in hand at the
beginning of the year. In other words, not much growth.

As far as the sales cycle for big purchases like Ampex's
products being long - I look at it as a slightly separate
subject. I sell big ticket items myself and the sales cycle
can be very long, sometimes years. Basically, from the time
the salesman first knocks on the perspective customers door
and introduces the product to the time the customer commits
and you are actually shipping product to them, is a very
long process... The result is you can be spending a great
deal of time and effort going after accounts that never happen,
or you can have several happen at once after having months of
lackluster sales. Bottom line - Forecasting is very difficult.
