Great story DK, agree with the Nationalism statement, I wonder how many of those Brits would want her watching their child....It sickens me even more to think this thing will get a dime of profit from "her story" to the British tabloids. Somehow I think there is a special place in hell for child killers......

Interesting thoughts on that woman ("au pair") and babysitting.
I can remember when I lived in Australia and there was a story in the paper about a teen ager throwing a crying baby against the wall and killing it. It scared me so bad I was afraid to get a babysitter at all. Finally I solved the problem by saying to my babysitter before I left, every time "If the baby cries and she wont stop just put her in her crib and close the door and play the radio loud so you dont hear. I dont mind, its fine!"
I cant imagine hurting a baby, but I do know that a screaming one can be very aggravating and maybe some people just lose their sanity or something.

(Not excusing it of course, just an observation)

Dwight, thx for sharing your story. Too bad the au pair (as far as I'm concerned she has no name) didn't have 1/1000 of your patience. Hey au pair, babies cry...or didn't EF Au Pair tell you that?

My final .02: it's one thing for the au pair's defense team to bamboozle the ignorant masses, but Judge "Ito East" Zobel has no excuse.

Regards
Mike

PS- Sorry - my comments "don't flame me yet" "This is flame bait" were not directed to you personally, but to thread in general...I suspected some au pair supporter "out there" would accuse me of playing the race card. But judging from looks of the diehard au pair supporters I've seen on TV, most of their capital is tied up in cigarettes and lottery tickets, not investments ;-)
