Hi lisa: i always look at TA before i purchase, some of the stocks may retrace recent gains but all show short term lows established in the past couple of weeks, meaning that if they were to retrace below the lows established since oct 27 then the patterns would be broken. there are no guarantees that they willnot retace to some degree but these are intended to be long term positions, not day trades, and on a longer time frame a point or two will not be as critical.

the stocks have been selected as current buys, but the system doesn't know its option expiration week, i don't like the price movements the final week to clear option positions, which is the reason i will be waiting until friday. my short term timing has been terrible lately, so i have given up on short term movements, longer time frames are more predictable. i hope this cleared things up.

TXN is not a current buy based upon elliot wave 4.3 and the data i am using from dbc signal--the data on this chart appears to be good but dirty data always yields poor results.
the preferred count is 85.45
inverted zigzag(a weak and unpredictable pattern)
most probable range 66.13912-87.42338

1st alternate
flat wave C degree 5
most probable 54.728-80.375
longer time frame
impulse wave 4 GOF 81.42%
most probable range 95.7432-111.3288

in situations like this its better to find a different stock

best wishes
peter
