A list ditch solution to running the country might be to turn the administration of the country over to Walmart. They are certainly good at getting things done efficiently. A good personal recourse is to have a victory garden and a 30/30 and plenty of shells for when things get nasty. The first winter should thin the herd down to scragglers that will be happy to work for food and shelter.
