drug interdiction via electronics is happening already...problem is, Mexicans are so corrupt and/or righteously fearful that even best intel is not used or is compromised. lead or silver is not much of a choice.

Send troops to Mexico? US is a member of OAS and signatory of Rio Treaty. All conflicts in the Western Hemisphere must be resolved by diplomatic means. And if a country, there, goes rogue, the whole rest of the Western Hemisphere would gang up on him...

See Cuba for example. It has had the right to exist as a cane growing, cigar rolling anomaly full of poor people...
