White House spokesman Jay Carney pointed out that in the last three years since Barack Obama took office, not one Republican challenger has created any federal jobs . Newt Gingrich has totally failed to revitalize and modernize the post office . Despite his constant talk of having solutions, he has not implemented any of them as the Chief Executive of the United States . He also has not had a single legislative success since he left the legislature . Michele Bachmann has totally failed to cut taxes while being one of 435 members in one branch of government. She talks a good game about repealing Obamacare, but Mr. Obama pointed out that if she was serious, she would have already done it. Herman Cain has done nothing to approve a single trade deal as a private citizen despite his support of free trade. This makes him a total hypocrite. Mr. Cain has never been in government, but the Obama administration was quick to attack his mostly successful record of turning around failing companies. He did not hire a single worker at Burger King while he was running Godfather's Pizza, and vice versa . He also did not do anything to help create jobs for the timber, entertainment, or financial services industries while working at food and beverage companies. Rick Santorum has totally failed to prevent companies from moving overseas. In fact, since he left the Senate in 2006, he has not hired one federal worker for his own office staff . He obviously does not care. Ron Paul has done nothing to abolish the Fed like he keeps promising to do. He has totally failed in moving Americans back to the gold standard , proving that he really does not mean it. Rick Perry, while Governor of Texas, has done absolutely nothing to deal with illegal immigration in Arizona, New York, or California. In fact, he has contributed to hundreds of lost jobs in California, depressing the Golden State's economy. This is proof he is a failed executive, especially since he has not helped one Californian who lost their job get another job in California. Mitt Romney has come under fierce attacks, as Mr. Obama pointed out that he has not created a single government job in Massachusetts since he stopped being Governor. He totally failed to reduce unemployment or help people on welfare find work once he stopped being in charge. Mr. Obama also pointed out that while he personally has created very few promised green jobs while President, the few he did create were more than all of his successors combined. On issue after issue, Mr. Obama rejected accusations of doing nothing by pointing out that his challengers did less. On foreign policy, President Obama excoriated Sarah Palin. At first it was not clear why until Mr. Carney explained that it gets the base excited, so he gratuitously mentions her . He has a pet nickname for her. He calls her "Checkers," in honor of the dog that saved Richard Nixon. Whenever Mr. Obama falls below 40%, he breaks a glass and breaks out Sarah 'Checkers' Palin jokes. One of his favorites goes something like this: What do Sarah Palin, Chris Christie and Rudy Giuliani have in common? Not one of them have had one successful predator drone strike against a single terrorist. When running out of criticisms for his successors, he will be letting us all know that George W. Bush has done nothing since January of 2009 to turn around the economy or keep us safe. As Mr. Carney explained, President Obama is working harder than everybody else combined. Not one other person in the entire country has made as many presidential decisions as he has in the last three years. In fact, he has made every single one of them. Mr. Obama also reserved special scorn for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, pointing out that Mr. Cantor has not spent one minute in the last three years organizing the White House Christmas party. A spokesperson for Mr. Cantor explained that Mr. Cantor is Jewish. Mr. Obama was not in the mood for excuses. The rest of Mr. Obama's remarks contained the words "I," "me," "mine" and "more" in varying degrees while insisting that everybody else has failed to lead while he was busy trying to get people to do whatever it is people do. Mr. Carney pointed out that this theme would be echoed for the next fourteen months until the election. If Republicans cannot get anything done when they are out of power, how can they be trusted to get the job done when they are in power? Spokespeople for all of the GOP candidates pointed out that individuals do not have unilateral power to just snap their fingers and make miracles happen by themselves. A couple of the candidates pointed out that America is different from Syria. At this point a confused Mr. Carney said that the White House had no comment except to say that everybody else was wrong. communities.washingtontimes.com
