How is the stock market. Gold sure has tanked hasn't it?
----------------------------------------------------------

MM's are correct for the tanks. 1000 yd range is effective battle
working range for battle. Guns are rated for penetration that way.
Russians had edge with 75 MM.

Radar was all a secret until 1975.

German AA was radar controlled. So was our Naval AA and gunnery. Computer fired by tube computers on radar range. What do you think those big parabolas were for on the battleships?

Spitfire guns were radar fired. Otherwise night fighting would have been impossible. German and Allied bombers found their way to target by radar. knickbein, H2S, gee. Some systems became Loran others used
as radio telescopes. Coventry was bombed by radar. The V1 may have been radar and radio controlled. The turning of agents a cover story for sophisticated jamming methods. Remember at this time the Germans had radar guided missiles launched from FW190's that shot down B19's.
they turned to wire line guided when the British jammed this. They even had specially shaped and coated stealth submarines that absorbed asdic and radar.

American artillery was fired by mobile tube radar made by GE. 30 guns were targeted by one unit. It computed trajectory of german fire and calculated position and radioed firing info to group. 1944-45. Same units are used today with some updated electronics. This may never have been revealed in print. But the naval stuff is all known. Some of it is in the Cruel Sea. Other stuff in The Secret War.
