Again you're wrong. This time about the physics of radio communications. The activity that really sucks the power is transmitting, particularly if the transmitter is far from the receiving cell phone tower because the circuitry cranks up the cell phone's transmitting power to maintain the link. Receiving, as in pulling in a video stream takes very little power comparatively.

Video streams just lose frames and may get more pixelated with low network speeds as the codec slows down to maintain the stream.
