Why do you sign out? That's your problem. I never sign out.

I haven't changed anything with the login system. As you discovered, you can sign in on multiple machines, but if you log out of any one of them, you will be logged out of everything. It uses cookies, but also tracks on the server side.

The downside is that you can't stay logged in on your home machine while logging in and out somewhere else. The upside is that once you log out, you know you are LOGGED OUT.
