Look who are there to represent the GOP. Romney? A lot of skeletons especially with his Bain capital where he laid off a lot of people and sending jobs to China. Perry? He scares people like Goldwater did. Bachman? What a joke. Herman Cain? Give me a break. Now Donald Trump says that he might run as independent. Ron Paul? If he runs as an independent, he will suck votes from Romney or Perry.

Yes, if you are a betting person, put your money on Obama.

'In 2000 the economy was good, the budget balanced, unemployment low, the country at peace and George Bush got elected'

And I listen to some who tell me we got here because spending has been out of control since Obama became president. Just stop the spending, cut taxes and end all regulations and all will be fine again they keep saying . Of course the military industrial complex doesn't count as 'Deficits don't matter' Cheney will tell you.. And yet long term treasuries are at multigenerational lows so just maybe there is more to the story?

Hint think consumer deleveraging, housing/credit bubble aftershock, structurally high unemployment, record wealth inequality, globalization, technology plus finance and military too dominant in recent years as a percentage of GDP. Maybe the OWS crowd has more wisdom on this subject than GOP candidates?
