I have associates who say the same thing. Theres no reasoning with them. You start with the small stuff, convince them that the auto bailouts to keep millions working had merit, that the TARP loans have been repaid, remind them that the country was on the brink of financial collapse, mention the revenues lost via the Bush tax cuts and the effect of war spending... just when you've made a good case and think you've reached them... BANG!... they suddenly experience "fact overload" and "comprehension error" and reboot their brains to the "It's Obama's fault" setpoint - rendering the conversation a total waste of time. I listen to some who tell me we got here because spending has been out of control since Obama became president.
