Well, when I say Obama is weak, I am not talking about his foreign policy. Obama has a very forceful style of foreign policy. Here's what's funny. I actually voted for Obama, because I thought he'd be LESS forceful in his foreign policy. I thought he'd end all the wars, close the bases, and bring our troops home. I remember one quote of his that I absolutely loved: "I don't want to just end this war. I want to end the mindset that got us into this war in the first place." When he said that about Iraq, I thought to myself that this guy speaks what's on my mind better than I can. Then Obama turned out to be another Bush Jr. Shit. Mea culpa for voting for him.

Where I would have welcomed Obama being more forceful is with the GOP. On domestic issues, even when Obama had Congress in the bag, he continually practiced appeasement with the GOP. I wish he would have rammed his policies down the GOP's throat, just as the GOP did when they were in power with Bush. But Obama was conciliatory, and as a result, everything he tried to achieve from health care to financial reform ended up being crap. His financial reform in particular is less than crap. Dodd-Frank is one unholy piece of dog shit. It has exactly zero teeth and doesn't address the single biggest amplifier of the economic collapse that created all the pain and continues to spiral even further out of control: derivatives.

So I give Obama credit for killing many radicals and all that, but I give him a 0 out of 10 on the economy. So he loses my vote. As Clinton famously once said: "It's the economy stupid."
