You can stack iOS on top of OS X and Apple still isn't doing any better than even (weak selling) Windows Vista. Apple's combined OS share becomes a pure joke compared even to to Windows XP (released in 2001, believe it?) or Windows 7, all of which are have been both forward looking highly backwards compatible operating systems with years of legacy code support. Windows "8" will run that same legacy code. It will also be the first full touch-first OS.

If you did want to confirm market share facts, Google is always a good place to start. X-D

In the meanwhile, you should probably pray for the iPhone; without which, Apple would be but an inkling of a shadow of its current self, and the slightest reduction in sales of which will spell disaster for AAPL shareholders. Guess what... such a disaster is coming. Soon. The iPhone 4zzzzzz is running out of rush-out-and-buy-anything-Apple fanboys quite quickly. As it should, because its barely an upgrade to an outdated OS on a tiny 3.5 inch screen, lacking both 4G and NFC. :)
