Ford Explorer V8... Does a very fine job as a tow vehicle... Don't need anti sway bars. Crossed the hilly stuff on north shore of superior no sweat... then the Rockies southern route via Crow's Nest Pass west through BC and back home through Washington State ... southern Rockies crossing was child's play... much bigger highway... easier slopes.. from Yellowstone 'shortcut' through Beartooth pass.. that was when we ended up spending the night under the little glacier 10K ft up... brutal inclines and narrow roads... but truck Ford was up to it all.. Does great job on the weekly ski trips to Collingwood also.. sticks to the road at speed in bad conditions.. really solid vehicle IMO.. I might step up to Ford Expedition next as they are dumbing down the Explorer.. no more V8s being produced..

Caravan is 5700lbs loaded.. I can cruise a good road even at 120-130 kmph no problem hauling..

for the stuff we like to see and do... it's the only way to go...
