ElM, as with so many things, hops are complicated. en.wikipedia.org I had no idea there was so much to it. There is obviously room for dramatic improvement with some genetic engineering of hops and other plants to make a really good brew. Growing hops with 19th century technology is not the way to make money. Creating a better hop is the way to go. Sprinkle stem cells for myrcene, humulene, caryophyllene, and farnesene into the stew and make good quality beer directly.
