Johnson was not elected president in 1960.

Kennedy was.

Johnson was elected president only once, in 1964.

Johnson did not run for REELECTION in 1968 because of his troubles with the Vietnam war.

He COULD HAVE run for REELECTION in 1968 if he had wanted to--

meaning his time as president after JFK was killed on November 22, 1963, was not considered a term as president.
