>>Yes, 76% of Android users on Verizon choose 3G phones with a 2 year contract when they could be doing the same things 10X faster and at no extra cost (4G phones are as cheap as $100). Purplexing.<<

They probably don't want to have to carry an extra battery.

A way that accounts for ALL Android tablets (including the ones with Android 2.2 , 2.3 and 3.0)

developer.android.com
developer.android.com

TOTAL of Large and xLarge with mdpi densities (tablets): 5.6%

Total Android tablets: 5.6% of 190mil = 10.64 million
Honeycomb tablets: 1.8% of 190mil = 3.42 million..... so 7.22 million are Android 2.2 and 2.3 tablets including the Nook Color

These numbers are based of the Oct 3rd numbers and should be higher by now as in 20 days the 190mil has grown by 650K/per day to 203mil....
