The Baltic states are getting very serious about the Russian threat. They are building lots of storage (for NG) and transmission. I think that the Nordic states have a significant chunk of excess hydro. No that there are going to be any nukes shut down in Europe. I don't understand why my fellow CCJ shareholders can't see that. Fools. Oh. And that is before the collapse of the European economy - coming up this week. Ask yourself the question - from what would I rather die, a CO2 induced sunburn 50 years from now, or frostbite this winter because we are building windmills and neglecting maintenance on perfectly good nukes? Basically the UK is hosed. Famous investor Jimmy Rogers has said as much. He figures that the two extraordinary products the UK had to offer were finance (london) and hydrocarbons (North Sea). Both are in serious decline. Rogers says he loves the UK - went to Oxford or Cambridge. It is just that he can't deny the handwriting on the wall. I think that a lot of these Euro countries are headed back to self sustaining agricultural zones. Greece will surely collapse. What will Greece do? Subsist. What does the UK export? Rock music. Ladies fashion. Doesn't India own Rolls Royce? The UK has lots of nice farmland and fishing.
