Dwight: On that link, the article states: <The trading source added that Quantum's stock price has ranged in recent months between 20 and 43, moving in some sessions as much as 5 points. The stock's trajectory, as well as the fact that the company will report earnings in February, are both factors that influence the volatility of the options contracts.> What does the street consider "recent months"? Quantum hasn't been at 20 since the end of June - more than four and a half months ago!

Dwight:

For every seller there is a buyer. The last quote was 3.125 x 3.500
and the close was at the ask of 3.500. Further, the price change for
this contract was the least of Feb maturities. This looks to me a
bullish trade and induced by a buyer.

Anyone know what happened to that options trader who shorted $3 b in QNTM?
