I think there a couple of things to point out before everybody gets down on Rob's prediction. One is that Rob has been pretty well on target so far. However, having said that, he can not make the stock go up or down, nor can any one of us. It will go where it is destined to go! When great earnings are released, the stock will move up, that's a no brainer. However, you don't always have to wait for earnings releases for a big move in the stock. In fact, these moves are historically well in advance of earning announcements. If a hundred million dollar deal is announced tommorrow, our analysts will most definitely revise the predicted earnings upward and the stock will run. In fact, big news could double the stock in a day. Rob's theory will work well assuming that IDX continues to be predictable and react within its imaginary Box. Personally I believe IDX is ready to break out of it's current box and quite likely break the high that was achieved after the Oracle deal was announced. We all know the story that is unfolding for IDX. Even though Oracle may not be the bright point yet, they are the second largest software company in the world. Now we are talking to Netscape and Microsoft. Every company in town is going to be making mouses or keyboards and that is not what IDX is about. The IDX picture is much larger and will be far more complicated to replicate by the host of upstart companies. IDX is about integrity, partners, loyality, vision, track record and product. I believe that Rob would agree that six months to a year from now the stock will be substantually higher then it is now. Time and time again the experts say that you cannot accurately time the dips or the highs. I believe them! If you don't agree that the stock will be higher a year from now then you should sell on the first big run up on news and look for another stock that you can have that feeling about. I personally am only holding IDX because I think 98 could be a rough year all around in the market and I want a stock with a story and the "Wind Behind!" As always, this is my opinion only!
