Did they also father an illegitimate child that they disowned? Did they also not give to charities even though they were worth billions? Did they also not want to talk to their father (who gave them for adoption) when their father later approached them??

Oh I don't know. He saw what could be and made it happen. And what he saw and made to happen has really changed our world significantly. Damn few people can do that. He might not have been a genius, but he sure as hell was persistent.
