John; I don't think I missed the point of his column at all. I was commenting on his solution. Krugman's solution is to give up on the Euro and let each country as they falter print their way out of debt. Krugman pretends this would not be inflationary - which I flatly disagree with.

Underlying all this is the basic idea that Krugman's ideas - and hopes for us all - is to punish saviors and reward people living beyond their means with high debt. Inflation is the answer!

Looks like they found enough soft putty to plug the whole mess - whoops I mean hole mess. I still have a hard time getting my mind around all the pulling forces here?
