Gingrich has always been the right wings intellectual, but IMO he is a mediocre thinker. He only looks smart because he is compared to the Palinista's. And he is anther really mean sociopathic personality. Lying and cheating and scaring people is how he lives. I guess when I say smart I also include sane and wise. Ron Paul was smart enough to get through medical school, but he seems clueless to common sense and decency. << Oh, Gingrich is a very smart guy. Definitely not presidential material but certainly intellectually capable. I wouldn't be surprised if Ron Paul is also a smart guy. They are either looking at the world through very different glasses or pretending to do so because they are politically ambitious. I would guess, on evidence so far advanced, that the former is true for both of them. Though both are capable of at least their share of the latter, Gingrich, quite obviously, more so than Paul.
