So what you are saying that they authorized it but left the decision to Bush. And he demonstrated how his goals were not clear. He went in on a ruse, then changed the goal several times while in there and had no damn idea why he was in there. It does not matter who authorized what. When he campaigned that "US cannot be the world's policeman" and then went and broke his promise by haphazardly ordering the war, he does deserve to be criticized especially when innocent civilian lives were lost through the unleashing of "Genghis forces" in the shape of Blackwater and Halliburton.

Drone technology was in existence during his time. He could have used it very effectively like Clinton did and now Obama is doing. He could have principled like his father was during Desert Storm. But this one came in with his hordes in the form of Cheney, Wolfowitz etc, and his worshippers are continuing to advance the argument that "they were authorized by the Senate." The US Senate and more so the US people will never and have authorized the brutality that we witnessed in Iraq. All for one man!!!!. So many American and Iraqi lives lost, maimed for life etc. just for one man!!!! Probably, it was more than one man. It could possibly be for oil and it did not work out that way.
