I don't understand why we are not building a refinery and keeping the gas and other products here in Canada to wean ourselves of imported oil. It makes no sense to ship the oil to Texas and then buy imported oil for the rest of the country.

Saskatchewan ships all of it's uranium to Ontario for processing. We ship our grain to Ontario to be made into bread and buy it back. We manufacture virtually nothing. A village in Mexico has more industry. Our politicians not only lack vision and innovation they don't even know the fundamentals of how our little back water operates. To make it worse we are arrogant and think we're clever and sophisticated. The NDP is down the road but the unions and the civil service have a such stranglehold on the province it will never recover.
