Business only invest and hires if they believe the ensuing output of product will sell,i.e. consumer spending. The conservatives today have it ass backward. The proof is in the trillions private businesses are hoarding instead of hiring and investing. You can be sure if those trillions were in the hands of consumers we'd be worried about an overheated economy.
