What a name to give a Committee-----Super Committee. Lorne You are right, if the 2010 House of Representatives had not gone Republican------we may have had a mess much worse under Obama and his Czars etc. Now to the 'Super Committee' There is no such thing under Parliamentary Procedure under which our American system historically operates-------as a "Super Committee" A Committee is either a Standing Committee or a Committee created for a single purpose without the power to act without further approval by the Standing Committee or the body under which it was created. This 'so called Super Committee' is not a Standing Committee. Anything they report is subject to either the Standing Committee under which they were formed or reports to the larger body under which they were formed. The bottom line is that anything that the Super Committee proposes must be presented and studied and approved or rejected by the individual houses of Congress. Once again I see the 'fear' factor being enacted by the Democrats via the Super Committee-------increase taxes and reduce medicare. If no---------there will be disaster. I ask where is the plan for we citizens to read and comment on the final report of the Super Committee? Where is the transparency promised by the titular President Barrack Hussein Obama Barry Soetoro?
