OGC has been pretty quiet lately ... nice article here at business day... earnings should be out pretty soon let's hope it's not another case of money talks and bullshit walks.....

OceanaGold says its Didipio gold and copper project will finally come up trumps next year, writes Barry FitzGerald.

It will be hard to ignore when production does get going, forecast for early 2013. The initial mine development has a 16-year life and is forecast to produce an average of 100,000 ounces of gold and 14,000 tonnes of copper annually. Thanks to good grades and copper revenue byproduct credits, Didipio will produce its gold at a negative cash cost of $US79 an ounce in its first six years (assuming a $US3 a pound copper price). Cash costs over the life of the mine are also competitive, at a forecast average of $US356 an ounce of gold.

''There are a lot of people sitting on the sidelines waiting to see what is going to happen with Didipio because of its chequered history,'' Wilkes says.
