That is great, although I have to watch the issue closely. Any development of a hint, it will be an all out, a 30ish percent hair cut is OK.

Force the banks to do . . .what? Force? The banks own the process, the regulators and whatever else isn't bolted down. Does anyone think the banks will unload 40% of their other assets to own US$ debt? Who would they sell these assets to? The last time they owned that much US$ debt was in the 1970s.
