"The great US unwinding looks quite orderly to me." Yes, a return to a natural size is slow and steady process.

The Great Unwinding, It is imperative that we as a nation pay down our private and public debt. We all know what the public debt situation is. I was assuming we the people were alot smarter and since the crash of 2008 were diligently paying down our debt. Well........... it's not happening: Consumer debt topped out in 2008 at 2.5 trillion .After 3 years of the new frugality and the realization of the evils of debt, we the people have managed to pay that down by a measly 4%. It is now 2.4 billion. Should only take another 20 years of deleveraging to get to where we need to be.

Well, I guess you know what was most important to them and it wasn't teaching.
