In Suskinds book Summers is quoted as saying "we are home alone here" to Peter Orzag and others. many have confirmed he said this. Meaning Obama was not involved in the economic solutions. It is sort of strange as Obama understands the economic situation 100 times better than any of the Republicans. And it is important to note that Obama has been in very deep with wall streets deep pockets from the day he ran, like Wolf whom I think was one of his first big fund raising sugar daddy's. And Spearling is a Republcian and Daley was head of a large portion of Morgan Stanly and other banks. Obama stiffed Volker who was right on according to every smart economist I read. It is said Obama did tell Geithner to take citi group apart and Geithner just didn't do it. He slow walked it. And summer s ran reiteration conferences that did nothing. Make sense out of all of that if you can. I can't.
